Katharine LiBretto

Katharine is a printmaker whose work is inspired by the sublime and grandeur of the natural world and the identity of place in time. Her work seeks out and explores the ideas of God, the Universe, and our connection to it, self and each other, and to something much greater than ourselves, while creating a sense of wonder in her work that questions what we think we know. She received her BFA in 2007, in Graphic Design, at C.W. Post College/Long Island University, in New York. She studied at The School of Visual Arts’ Continuing Education program in New York City until she moved to London to develop her printmaking practice full time. Kat received her MA degree in Printmaking, with Merit, at Camberwell College of Art/University of the Arts London in 2012 and upon her return to the United States, attended Artist Residencies and founded Inky Hands Print Studio and Gallery. Kat currently lives in Plymouth, MA where she publishes her work, as well as others’, at Inky Hands Print Studio. Her prints are exhibited regularly in London, Hong Kong, the USA, and collected worldwide.
