I’ve always enjoyed painting because I like creating things and figuring out how to capture a scene. I’ve been coming to Nantucket since I was a baby, have numerous family connections here, and even got married here in Granny’s house. So it feels natural to want to paint here.
Other than some classes in high school and college, my art education is mostly recent and from online classes, so I can’t claim much sophistication in my approach or technique. But I mostly like the pictures I paint and feel grateful that they capture the elements of the scenes that attract me. And I am thankful if they bring some connection to others.
