Artist Statement

I create handmade collage art, working mostly with paper and occasionally adding a touch of fiber. My process embraces imperfections—bumps, tears, and textures that reflect the work of the hand.

With a background in graphic design, I’ve learned to see visual treasures in everyday life. I collect and revisit fragments until they spark new meaning as collages shaped by joy and a love of classical ballet, retro fashion, French style, color, and simplicity.

I’ve been a lifelong observer of people—beginning in NYC and continuing through life in Boston, California, Japan, Texas, and Nantucket. Many of my pieces offer quiet glimpses into human stories, set in everyday places. I often wonder: Who are these people, where are they going, and what have they seen?

Sometimes I’m drawn to nature—flowers, oceans, and delicate animals that evoke grace and stillness. I use physical paper for its texture and fragility. The act of gluing—final and tactile—makes each decision matter, whether deliberate or spontaneous.

Each piece that I create reflects a unique perspective and carries a meaningful message. Yet, there’s more than one way to approach my work. I truly enjoy discovering the varied narratives that viewers uncover and the diverse ways in which my creations resonate with a wide range of perspectives.
