Erika is a professionally trained portrait and landscape artist who lives and works in New York City and Nantucket. She earned her BA in studio art from William Smith College in Geneva, NY and a Diploma in Portraiture from Heatherley’s School of Fine Art in London, England. Her studies and time spent abroad, as well as Nantucket, have been a strong influence and source of inspiration over the past three decades. While she completes many portraits by commission (people and dogs) she also has a passion for landscapes and architecture. In addition to being an Artist Member, Erika has served as a board member at AAN for 6 years. She also runs art classes for seniors at various organizations in Manhattan and Nantucket, including AAN, Salt Marsh Senior Center and JASA in Manhattan.
