Course Description

Students will explore expressive drawing techniques, layering, and found objects in unique ways in this amazing and engaging camp. We will emphasize imagination and the element of surprise to explore fearless creativity and make discoveries about ourselves and the endless possibilities of art. Students will learn about a different modern artist and technique each week while creating their own sculptures, collages, paintings and more. Each week is a new theme, so join us for more than one week of fun!

Maura Wendelken

Maura received her BFA in Photography at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston in 2014. Her love of photography led her to explore both analog and digital practices. She is interested in historical, alternative, and contemporary photography techniques. Maura currently teaches art at Cyrus Peirce Middle School and at the AAN. She has been an AAN artist member since 2013.
