Bring your favorite memories, travels, and everyday moments to life through the expressive medium of watercolor. In this inspiring class, students will learn how to capture the unique character of people and places while creating paintings that tell a story.

Through demonstrations, guided instruction, and personalized feedback, you’ll explore essential watercolor techniques including composition, color mixing, value, perspective, and brushwork. Special attention will be given to simplifying complex scenes, suggesting figures with confidence, and creating a sense of atmosphere and place.

Working from photographs, students are encouraged to bring their own reference images—whether from travels, family gatherings, favorite neighborhoods, or cherished landscapes—to create meaningful and personal works of art. The instructor will also provide a variety of photographs for those who prefer additional inspiration.
