Discover the joy of watercolor in this welcoming four-week class designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen their foundational skills.
The fundamentals of watercolor—including brush handling, washes, color mixing, value and composition—will be taught throughout the course. Students will learn how to create depth, light, and atmosphere while developing an understanding of how watercolor behaves on paper. Through step-by-step instruction, students will explore the unique qualities of watercolor while learning essential techniques that build confidence and creativity.
Whether you have dabbled in watercolor before or have never taken an art class, this class is for you. In a supportive and encouraging environment, participants will complete a variety of exercises and paintings designed to reinforce core concepts and help them develop their own artistic voice. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in watercolor techniques and the confidence to continue exploring this versatile and rewarding medium on their own.
