In this class, explore color theory and create pieces with a foundation of basic painting. Learn to select subject matter based on your own interests and discover its potential for creating a compelling painting. Choose from photos or still-life objects as reference material, such as portraits, cityscapes, or everyday items. Discover how your subject can vary in appearance when rendered in watercolor, oils, or acrylic. Students will learn techniques for laying color and color mixing while building confidence in the use of brush strokes. This is a creative journey of choosing, color matching, and creating vibrant artwork!
