Course Description

This workshop is will cover how to photograph your artwork in a way that is accurate and consistent with the original work, meets the new AAN submission guidelines, and can also be used for your website, social media, sales, and basic archiving.

We’ll go through simple, practical approaches using a phone or camera, working with window light or existing ambient light, along with how to avoid distortion, maintain accurate color, and prepare files for submission. We’ll also cover a basic editing workflow, common mistakes to avoid, and a short section on preparing and posting artwork on Instagram, including how to share upcoming shows.

The goal is to give artists a clear, repeatable process for creating reliable, accurate images of their work without needing specialized equipment, with time at the end to answer specific questions.
