Course Description

Students in this class will explore the traditional process of creating comic pages and strips. Start from developing characters and planning out your story to creating completed pages. Have fun penciling, inking, and coloring your own unique comics!

Comics, Ages 10–14

Nicci Aguiar

Nantucket native Nicci is best known for her illustrations and watercolor paintings. Driven by her passion for storytelling, her work typically has a dash of humor and is inspired by her life on island. She attended Savannah College of Art and Design and received her BFA in Sequential Art in 2016. Since graduating she has worked on various projects such as graphic design, murals, illustration, and comic commissions. You can find her work at Sustainable Nantucket Framer’s and Artisans Market and at the Artists Association of Nantucket Galleries. She also teaches Comics, Illustration, and Digital Art classes/workshops at Artists Association of Nantucket. When she’s not creating or teaching Nicci enjoys riding her bike and traveling.
