Join the Artists Association of Nantucket for an Artist Talk with Susan Messer McBride, the 2026 Erin Donohue and Family Foundation Ceramic Artist-in-Residence.
McBride is a Chicago-based ceramic artist, painter, and educator and founder of Mind Clay Body Studio. Her functional and sculptural ceramics explore the intersection of natural and urban environments, celebrating the tactile qualities of clay and its ability to connect people to the earth and one another. She has taught in the United States, China, Kenya, and Mexico and is certified in Clay Field Therapy, a hands-on, sensorimotor approach that can support healing and development.
Join us for an engaging conversation about McBride’s artistic practice, inspiration, and the meaningful connections between clay, creativity, and community.
All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you there.
