Course Description

In this class students will learn basic animation techniques using a variety of media such as paper cut-outs, clay, and more! Students will get to watch their creations come to life with an assortment of materials they might find at home. This class focuses on fun, hands-on, and accessible animation projects to help inspire students to continue to create on their own, without the need for expensive equipment or programs. All that’s needed is a little patience and a lot of imagination!

Animation Fun, Ages 9-12

Nicci Aguiar

Nantucket native Nicci is best known for her illustrations and watercolor paintings. Driven by her passion for storytelling, her work typically has a dash of humor and is inspired by her life on island. She attended Savannah College of Art and Design and received her BFA in Sequential Art in 2016. Since graduating she has worked on various projects such as graphic design, murals, illustration, and comic commissions. You can find her work at Sustainable Nantucket Framer’s and Artisans Market and at the Artists Association of Nantucket Galleries. She also teaches Comics, Illustration, and Digital Art classes/workshops at Artists Association of Nantucket. When she’s not creating or teaching Nicci enjoys riding her bike and traveling.
