I grew up in a coastal town north of Boston. My father was a musician and a music teacher. He also loved painting. My Mother had talent for gardening and creating beautiful cakes decorated with her own flowers. This creative environment enabled me to pursue my passion of art and painting. My time spent near the ocean is reflected in my interest in capturing the light and atmosphere of nature and water. My Mothers’ love of gardening is the inspiration to paint the beauty, color and movement of flowers. I am also very drawn to explore themes of personal interactions that shape our identity. The nostalgic recognition of a family eating a meal together or sitting on the porch. Simple but powerful moments that are both relatable and personal. Whether I’m painting nature or people, my goal is to capture the mood and emotion of the setting. The beauty in that moment.

I received my BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

In 1991, I started a mural and fine art business that produced large and small scale murals as well as custom paintings and art. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with many of the finest builders, architects and interior designers in the Boston area, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. My work has been featured in Boston Magazine Design Home and Better Homes and Gardens. It has been most gratifying to work with hundreds of wonderful homeowners to enhance their surroundings with my custom murals and paintings.
