Katherine Downey Miller received her BS in Studio and Art History from Skidmore College, and later earned her MFA in Illustration from New York City’s School of Visual Arts. She began her teaching career as a painting and drawing assistant at Anderson Arts Center in Colorado, before moving to Florence, Italy, on a teaching scholarship at the Studio Arts College. Currently, Katherine lives in Cambridge, MA, where she works as an abstract painter in her studio located in Boston’s Art and Design District. She teaches Landscape and Abstraction at Newtownville’s New Art Center, the Weston Art and Innovation Center, and Concord Art. She is represented on Nantucket by Robert Foster Fine Art.
