Kate Kasmer is a longtime summer resident of Nantucket, and has been coming to the island since she was little. She currently teaches elementary art in the Haverford School District outside of Philadelphia Pa. Kate majored in ceramics and art history at Syracuse University, and has a masters degree in Art Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she was an associate professor of ceramics. Kate has also taught general art and wheel throwing at the Mainline Art Center, the Philadelphia Senior Center, and the Miquon School in the Philadelphia area. Kate is excited to bring her knowledge and talents to the Artist Association this summer.
