Watson Cady

1902-78

Mr. Cady was a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance, a member and exhibitor with the Philadelphia Watercolor Society. He was also a member of the Plays and Players of Philadelphia, a dramatic association. Mr. Cady exhibited in the Annual Contemporary Arts Exhibition at the Society of the Four Arts, Palm Beach, Fla., a national competition. He was one of the prime instigators of the Compass Gallery in Nantucket which was anonprofit gallery and show-case for artists of Nantucket and thru out the U. S. and abroad. He exhibited in the spring shows of the Norton Gallery of Art, West Palm Beach. The Thieme Gallery, Palm Beach was his representative at one time. Watson Cady was a member of the Artists’ Assoc, of Art, Nantucket, exhibiting and winning prizes. Also at one time a member of the board.
