Sybil Goldsmith

1917-2005

Goldsmith began painting at age six in a summer class in Siasconset. She studied at Sarah Lawrence and the Silvermine Art Guild. Best known for her portraits, she became a mainstay at the Main Street Gallery and moved here in 1966. She often taught out of her studio where her granddaughter, Sage, learned her techniques.
