Louise Fulton Coffin

1931-2011

Age 80, of Upper St. Clair and Nantucket, MA, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, and originally from Dormont, PA, on Friday December 16, 2011. Beloved wife for 58 years of Philip T. Coffin, Jr.; devoted mother of Tris (Sharon) Coffin of Mt. Lebanon, PA, John (Christine) Coffin of Malvern, PA, Liz (Ed) Wostbrock of Guyton, GA, and Cathy (Doug) Lanois of Hamilton, MA; sister of Barbara (Charlie) Hinton of Mt. Lebanon and Henry (Nancy) Fulton of Mt. Pleasant, MI; also survived by 15 loving grandchildren; three nephews and two nieces. Louise was a 1949 graduate of Dormont High School. An avid artist, she studied fine arts at Richmond Institute of the College of William and Mary. She was a member of the Upper St. Clair League for the Arts and the Artists Association of Nantucket. Louise enjoyed golf, and was a longtime member of St. Clair Country Club. She volunteered her time at the Salvation Army, and in earlier years, at the Junior League. Louise attended Beverly Heights Presbyterian Church, where she participated in the K Group and Women’s Bible Study. She also attended the Summer Street Church of Nantucket and enjoyed their Women’s Bible Study.
