Legge graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she received a BFA with honors in 1988. Known for her watercolors, she shifted to oils in 1998 and shows at the Old Spouter Gallery and the Left Bank Gallery, Wellfleet. She served as an officer of the AAN for many years, both as Vice President and President. Reviving an interest in still life for a new wave of students, Katie taught regularly at the AAN workshop.
