Nantucket artist J. D. Hunting (American worked circa 1900). Hunting is listed by Wyer in 1906 as working on Nantucket. He is also mentioned in the book “Quaint Nantucket.”
Possibly artist James D. Hunting of North Conway, N.H. (18671-1933) who was great friends with William F. Paskell, also a painter of Nantucket.
