Hezekiah Anthony Dyer (1872-1943) was a well-known landscape painter and watercolorist from Providence, Rhode Island. He studied at Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design, later becoming a lecturer at both institutions. He traveled frequently in Europe, painting landscapes—including stunning alpine views—seascapes, and peasant and market scenes. Dyer also toured extensively in New England, including several sojourns on Nantucket.
