Gladys Milligan

1892-1973

Member of the 45 Group.

Studied at the Fontainebleau School of Art, and showed with the Salons of America art movement which began in 1922.

Another artist from the Baltimore/Washington area, Milligan showed with the 45 Group, but also painted classical portraits.

She first sat on the AAN executive board in 1950 and volunteered for many positions through the years. She kept a studio next to Andrew Shunney’s where the downtown Stop & Shop parking lot is now.
