Course Description

Students will learn how to throw simple forms such as bowls, mugs and cylinders. Further skills development will be enhanced by combining handbuilding techniques to add handles, lids and sculptural surface elements. Glazing and surface design will also be explored. Advanced students will be encouraged to further develop their technique through more challenging projects.

*Wheethrowing can be very messy so please dress accordingly- short sleeves recommended. Feel free to bring an apron.

Tuition assistance is available for all kids programs. Please contact lizb@nantucketarts.org prior to registering online.
