First, we’ll uncover the secret color recipes for those tricky greens; reflective blues; and how to create the best effect of “golden hour” with the contrast of warm and cool.
Next we explore exciting additives for achieving a variety of finishes all within one painting, ranging from high-gloss to matte as well as texturizers like sand and plaster. Each class begins with an interactive warmup designed to free all inhibitions. Students are encouraged to bring photo-references of choice, as special challenge-areas get individually coached. Works on canvas will emerge layer on layer, scaling small to large and achieving realism with expression and energy!
