The Waterfront Artists
AAN is proud to present The Waterfront Artists: Painters That Changed Nantucket, an exhibition drawn from the Permanent Collection. Curated by Robert Frazier, The Waterfront Artists features work by significant artists who worked in their waterfront studios and shaped Nantucket over the decades into a true artist colony.
Opening reception: June 29, 6 - 8 pm, 33 Washington Street.

Leigh will begin the class with a visit to the Nantucket Shipwreck and Lifesaving Museum in order for you to draw upon the island's rich maritime history. The second half of the workshop will be spent working on completing drawings and watercolors inspired by Nantucket's high sea adventures.

Waterfront Plein Air Festival - 2012
2-day plein air painting festival running from June 30 - July 1, with a closing reception and awards presentation at 5-7 pm on Sunday July 1.
Participating painters will be working along the waterfront from Easy Street to Washington Street.
