Adult Education Program Manager

The adult education program manager will report and work directly with the education program director to manage the AAN Visual Arts Center’s programs and studio operations. He/she will directly responsible for managing the adult education program including classes, workshops, visiting artist series, and artist-in-residence program. He/she will also facilitate the studio rentals, open studios, and other educational outreach programs for adults. He/she is expected to teach a limited number classes and workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and plan all adult classes and workshops
  • Develop and plan visiting artist series and Artist-in-Residence program
  • Hire, train, and supervise teachers and interns for adult program
  • Create, plan, prep, and teach classes for adults and teens (number of classes to determined)
  • Manage supply orders and studio maintenance for adult studios, with the assistance of the studio techs
  • Plan student and faculty exhibitions with Arts Education Director
  • Oversee the adult education program budget, including preparing monthly budget reconciliations for adult program
  • Work with Arts Education Director to oversee class registration system for adult program
  • Supervise and support the work of Studio Techs and other AAN administrative staff to manage adult scheduling
  • Assist Arts Education Director, Public Programs Director, and Director of Development to prepare and implement public relations and marketing plan for adult programming
  • Assist Public Programs Director and Director of Development to write Arts Program grant applications for adult programming
  • Assist visiting artists while they are in residence
  • Staff liaison of Education Committee
