Born in Albany, New York and painted while traveling from childhood. For the past nineteen years she has had her studio on Nantucket Island since 1965. She studied portrait painting with Betty Warren and attended Instituto Allende at San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She first attracted attention with her watercolors of historic Albany area buildings, painted directly on location. She was listed in Who's Who in American Art, a member of the Artists Association of Nantucket, where she won several "Best Watercolor" awards. Her work is in museums and private collections. On island she exhibited at The Granary, The South Wharf Gallery, The Main Street Gallery, and AAN. An AAN memorial exhibition was held in June, 1985 in the Alcove Gallery, located on the second floor of the Kenneth Taylor Gallery, Straight Wharf.
