Course Description

Innovate your oil painting practice through weekly experimentations designed to inform and inspire artists of all levels. Investigation will include using different 10” square surfaces, like wood panels and canvases toned with different colors or stretched with patterned fabric, with an assortment of transparent and opaque pigments. Students also will have the opportunity to try out different brushes, palette knives, squeegees, and painting mediums. Starting each class with a brief demo, Elizabeth will then help students pursue their individual goals as they work from life or photo reference. Whether you are new to oils or looking to shake up your default mode in an established art process, this class is an excellent way to experience the creative possibilities of a wide range of materials. All levels welcome.
