Course Description

Artists of all levels are invited to join this session of constructive feedback and supportive critique. Time will be equally divided among all participants, so please come on time and stay for the full 2 hours. You are welcome to present up to 4 artworks, and guide the discussion in a way that is helpful to you. For example, you might need technical help or ask the group for emotional responses to your work. You may bring in work that is either finished or in progress. You may attend and not present, too. This meeting of artists invites time and space to ponder possibilities and to inspire creativity, using “could’s” and not “should’s.” We will not discuss art in terms of “saleability” or any marketing strategies. The professional development focuses on ark making, creative process, and art practices. Elizabeth Congdon will be on hand to facilitate this critique.
