Study how the fall light can evoke mood and meaning by focusing on painting interior spaces. From portraying history to capturing contemporary life, interior environments have the power to spark imagination and create psychological narrative. Elizabeth will demonstrate various technical approaches to painting the illusion of light on a variety of surfaces, and how to utilize architectural and atmospheric perspective accurately and effectively. Students are welcome to work from personal photographs, class references, or master paintings, with or without figures. A basic knowledge of color mixing and drawing is required in this intermediate and advanced level class.
