Course Description

Fine Art comes to life like never before, as we combine all venues of 2D creativity in this up-tempo class for young artists of any skill level. Students will get to utilize photography in exciting ways never tried before, as we play with copiers; explore printmaking; and make a splash with paint. First we’ll look at contemporary artists that have taken “grafitti” into the realm of high art, trying out their techniques for ourselves ranging from stenciling to painting over black-and-white photos. Finally even creative writing and collage come in to play, when we ultimately combine our free-wheeling exercises into original and emotive works of mixed-media.
