Shaw, Charles Green

In 1937 Shaw was a member of the fledgling American Abstract Artists, and one of the Park Avenue Cubists who received renewed interest in a 2002 book and a 2003 exhibition in New York City. He painted on Nantucket from 1947 to 1970, joining the ‘45 Group of modernists. He served on several AAN committees, including the executive committee from 1952 to 1954.
