Frazier, Robert Alexander
Bobby Frazier was taught by his mother, Barbara, to draw and paint by age twelve, and later became a student of Philip Hicken when he taught on Nantucket in the early ‘70’s. He started as the janitor for the AAN and joined as an artist in 1974. He held his first solo exhibition at The Little Gallery in 1976. Frazier was President of the AAN from 1999 to 2004 and worked as art director for “Nantucket Magazine”. Bobby is currently (since 2006) Director of the AAN’s Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery on Washington Street and manages the Permanent Collection.
