Frazier, Robert Alexander
Bobby Frazier was taught by his mother, Barbara, to draw and paint by age twelve, and later joined her as a student of Philip Hicken when Phil taught on Nantucket in the early ‘70’s. He started as the janitor for the AAN and joined as an artist in 1974. He held his first solo exhibition at The Little Gallery in 1976. Frazier was President of the AAN from 1999 to 2004 and worked as art director for “Nantucket Magazine”. Bobby is currently AAN Curator of Exhibitions, managing both the Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery on Washington Street and the AAN Permanent Collection.
