How to Donate to the Permanent Collection
The Permanent Collection is a significant collection of modern Nantucket art and a legacy for the future. To keep it vital and relevant, it's imperative that we continue to seek donations of important Nantucket artworks. Below are the guidelines for making donations.
You may also consider making a donation to seed funds to keep the Permanent Collection both preserved and exhibited on a regular basis.
Guidelines for making a donation
Past artist members — We seek representative work of all of our past members. In addition, if a member of your family was a member, we seek historical information on them and photos of the artists and their art.
Key artists from the art colony — We seek biographical material as well as representative artork of the artists who were early members of the AAN. We especially seek works by Isabelle Hollister Tuttle, Bobby Bushong, Anne Ramsdell Congdon, Frank Swift Chase, and others.
Contemporary artists — We seek prime examples from artists working today.
For details about making a donation, please contact AAN at 508-228-0722 or Gallery Director Bobby Frazier at 508-228-0294
